Blow Up The City Controls
No official keybind card yet — here is what you can actually confirm.
Airstrike Industries has not published a control list for Blow Up The City. This page will not invent F-keys, click combos, or a secret “press G to nuke” bind. It tells you the Roblox defaults that always work, the panels you should look for, and how passes like AC-130 change the feel of a session.
If a YouTube short shows a custom bind overlay, it is probably a different destruction game or a client-side script. Do not copy it here.
Movement (standard Roblox)
Until the studio ships a custom scheme, assume:
| Action | Keyboard | Typical mobile |
|---|---|---|
| Move | WASD | Thumbstick |
| Jump | Space | Jump button |
| Camera | Mouse | Drag |
| Zoom | Mouse wheel | Pinch |
The experience uses R15 avatars. You are walking a city, not piloting the default jet. Strikes are called from UI, not from a tool in slot 1, unless a future patch adds a handheld flare.
HUD panels to find
On spawn, look for:
- A shop / airstrike button. This is where cash turns into bombs, Nuke, Tornado, Earthquake, Attack Heli, and any other 1.5 tools.
- A currency readout. If it does not move after a hit, you struck rubble — see how to earn cash.
- Optional NPC or sandbox toggles. Unlimited NPCs is a pass; a free spawn cap may still exist for everyone.
- Settings. If a code field is ever added, it will likely live here or in the shop. Do not hunt for it yet — the codes hub is empty.
Tap every unlabeled icon once in a private server so you are not discovering the shop mid-Nuke on a public map.
Camera and targeting
Destruction sandboxes punish a camera that sits in first person inside a collapsing floor. Use a pulled-back third-person view so you can see whether a strike covered a whole cluster. For bridges and the train from Update 1.5, you need to see both banks or the track ahead, not just the brick in front of your avatar.
If a strike has a placement reticle (common for nukes and orbital toys), confirm the circle covers multiple buildings before you commit. ICBM is advertised as a space launch with the most damage — treat that reticle like a budget you cannot refund.
AC-130 and Attack Heli
AC-130 (149 Robux) says you take control of the gunship and shoot 30mm rounds. That is a vehicle-style control layer on top of WASD. Expect a camera shift, a fire input, and a limited gun run. Details and spend advice: How to Use the AC-130.
Attack Heli is a 1.5 strike, not a pass. It should feel closer to a steerable gun run than to a dumb bomb. If it uses the same camera as AC-130, learn one and you have learned the other.
Mobile versus PC
The game is on Roblox, so phones can join the same eight-player servers. Fat-finger shops are the main mobile risk: it is easy to buy Nuke when you meant a cheap drop. Pause before you confirm a purchase. If the HUD is too small, a private server with fewer explosions is easier to aim in than a public crater.
Accessibility and testing
Because this is early testing, binds can change in Update 2. If a patch adds a real control card, this page will quote it. Until then, the useful “controls” skill is not a hotkey — it is knowing which panel spends cash and which camera angle lets you hit a cluster, as taught in how to destroy buildings.
If a script menu overlays extra keys, that is not part of the game. Read script safety before you treat those binds as official.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for airstrikes, cash, codes, Update 1.5, and the Update 2 teaser.
What is the key to drop a nuke?
There is no published bind. Nukes are a shop strike. Open the airstrike panel and buy/fire it from the UI.
Can I play on mobile?
Yes. Use the on-screen stick and be careful in the shop so you do not buy the wrong strike.
Does AC-130 use different controls?
Yes. The pass puts you in a gunship with 30mm fire. Learn it in a private server.
Where is the code box?
Not documented. No codes are live. See the codes hub.
