Private Servers in Blow Up The City
The game page says private servers are free. Use them when public cities are already ash.
Blow Up The City caps servers at eight players. The official description tells you to create a free private server if you want to play with friends only. That sentence is the whole product. There is no documented Robux private-server fee on the place page, no VIP portal with extra strikes, and no group-only map.
This page is when to press that button, when to stay public, and how a private city changes cash runs, NPCs, and spectacle tools like Nuke and ICBM.
Public versus private
Public:
- Eight strangers, one compact sandbox. With ~1,800 people in the experience on 10 September 2026, cities fill fast.
- Minute 0 can still have a skyline. Minute 15 is usually glass. Update 1.5 made craters readable so you would notice.
- Best for chaos, for seeing other people’s Attack Heli lines, and for a quick hop-farm if you land fresh.
Private:
- You (and invited friends) versus the buildings.
- The train, both bridges, and the crane stay yours until you spend them.
- Best for learning targeting, for Unlimited NPCs showcases, and for testing AC-130 or ICBM without donating the skyline to a stranger’s Nuke.
If you are still in Getting Started, do one public join so you feel the eight-player timer, then make a private city to actually learn the shop.
How to open one
Use the official Roblox game page. The description says private servers are free. Roblox’s normal “Servers” / private-server UI is the path — this wiki will not invent extra clicks the HUD did not print. If the button is missing on a platform, that is a Roblox client quirk, not a hidden pass. Report it on the game page as early-testing feedback.
Friends join through the private-server link Roblox generates. There is no documented in-game intercom. The Airstrike Industries group (765 members, no shout on 10 September 2026) is for notifications, not a matchmaker.
What to do in a private city
Learn the loop. How to Play and how to earn cash assume standing mass. Private mass stays standing until you touch it.
Run a showcase. Pack civilians, then fire Tornado, Earthquake, Attack Heli, Nuke, AC-130, or ICBM at a district that still exists. See disasters and the airstrike planner.
Test a pass. Rejoin once after purchase. If AC-130 or ICBM still missing, report it. Do not buy a second copy. Do not buy a code — none are live.
Do not AFK-farm. A private city is not an auto-clicker. Scripts still have no verified listing for this universe. Injecting “auto strike” into a private physics sandbox can still cost the account and still crash the early-testing sim the studio asked you to report, not break.
What private does not do
- It does not spawn extra buildings. You get the same city map with eight extra buildings, two bridges, and a train from Update 1.5.
- It does not grant cash, Nuke, or passes. Unlimited Cash is still 320 Robux.
- It does not skip Update 2. Patch morning, open a private instance first so you can see whether the shop grew a row before public cities turn into test craters.
- It does not make weather tools snipe the crane. Shape still matters.
Hopping is still a skill
Private is not mandatory. A fresh public join with a full skyline can pay faster than a private city you already flattened and did not reset. Server hygiene is: read the craters, hop if the postcard is ash, go private if you need the skyline to wait. That is the same advice as how to destroy buildings, because geography in this title is time.
When Update 2 lands, keep one private server bookmarked. Description text can appear before every public shard has the new row. One private rejoin answers “did the shop actually change?” faster than a fake leak.
If you only wanted friends without eight random Nukes, the official sentence is enough: create a free private server. Then play the game you already have, not a different city’s VIP lobby.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for airstrikes, cash, codes, Update 1.5, and the Update 2 teaser.
Are private servers free?
The Roblox description says to create a free private server to play with friends. Confirm the Servers UI on the game page.
How many players in a private server?
The place cap is eight. A private instance is that cap without random public joins.
Should I farm public or private?
Fresh public joins can pay if the skyline is up. Private is for learning, showcases, and pass tests. Hop when craters take the map.
Do private servers give extra cash?
No. They keep the buildings yours. Cash still comes from destroying standing mass.
Can I use scripts in a private server?
You can still lose the account. This wiki lists no verified tools for this place. Read script safety first.
