Cash Runs in Blow Up The City
A repeatable route from spawn to Nuke money without sitting in someone else’s crater.
A cash run is one focused session of Blow Up The City with a single job: turn intact structure into shop money as fast as the restock allows, then leave. It is the practical version of how to earn cash for players who already know How to Play.
Route
- Pick the server. Fresh public or private. If you see scorched lots from the door, hop. Eight players destroy a map quickly.
- Scout thirty seconds. Find a cluster: crane site, two mid-rises, a 1.5 bridge with buildings on both banks, or a train beside houses. Targeting notes: how to destroy buildings.
- Fire the cheapest strike that covers the cluster. Repeat until the shop moves.
- Buy the next repeatable tool, not the most expensive name. Ranked options: airstrike tier list.
- Rotate. Do not finish a lonely hut across the map. The next cluster is the run.
- Leave when the skyline is gone. Starting a second city is faster than milking ash.
Optional multipliers
- X2 Cash makes every step pay double. Buy it only if you already like this route — gamepasses.
- Unlimited NPCs packs the street before a wide tool. Optional garnish — NPCs.
- Codes are not part of the route. None are live. If one drops, redeem it at the start of a run, not the end — how to redeem.
Skip Unlimited Cash during a cash run. The point of the run is to earn. Use Unlimited Cash for a toy test, not for this page.
Timing versus other players
On public servers you are racing seven other avatars. If someone Nukes your block, you rotate, you do not sit in chat. If two people are already gun-running the only intact street, hop. Ego is slower than a new instance.
Private servers are for clean data: how many hits from starter bomb to Nuke on an untouched 1.5 map. That number is your personal benchmark after a patch.
After Update 1.5
More cash per strike, extra buildings, bridges, train, clearer craters. A good run should feel faster than launch-week comments claimed. If it does not, you are still hitting dead lots or a lagged eight-player pile. Report a zero-payout intact tower; do not invent a hidden tax.
When Update 2 lands, run this route once on a private city before you rewrite your shop order. Patches that add HP or change restocks move this page more than they move the fantasy of ICBM.
A cash run is also how you decide whether AC-130 is worth 149 Robux. If you never needed a gunship to finish the route, you do not need the pass.
Log one number per run: cash at spawn, cash when you hop, strikes fired. If the second number barely moved, you hit ash or a lagged remote — not a secret tax. After Update 2, compare that number on a private 1.5-style map before you rewrite your shop order. The airstrike planner is the decision tree you should glance at between hops; this page is the feet-on-street version of the same idea.
If you finish a run with leftover cash and no next strike you want, hop anyway. Sitting in a dead city hoping for one more hut is how sessions stall. Start the next city with the same cheap repeatable bomb. Consistency beats one lucky Nuke.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for airstrikes, cash, codes, Update 1.5, and the Update 2 teaser.
How long is a cash run?
Until the skyline is gone or you can afford the next strike you actually want. Then hop.
Public or private servers?
Private for clean farms and tests. Public if you like racing other players for blocks.
Should I use Nuke on a cash run?
Only on a fresh, dense skyline. On a half-dead map, repeatable bombs pay better.
Does X2 Cash change the route?
It doubles payouts. The targeting route stays the same.
