Blow Up The City Players, NPCs, and Passes
Eight avatars, optional civilian crowds, and five Robux passes that change the city.
Players in Blow Up The City means three things: the eight Roblox avatars who share a server, the civilian NPCs you can pack into streets, and the gamepass loadouts that change how hard those streets pay. This hub points at all three so you do not treat a 320 Robux skip as a “character build.”
There is no hero roster. Airstrike Industries did not ship named operators. Your “build” is the strike you bought and whether X2 Cash is on.
Other players
Servers hold eight people. That is small enough that one Nuke from a stranger deletes your farm, and large enough that a public city is rarely intact after a few minutes. If you want a clean skyline, use a private server (the game page says they are free). If you want chaos, stay public and treat other avatars as extra explosions.
Early testing plus eight people stacking physics is why you should hop when the frame rate dies. That is not a skill issue; it is the sim.
NPCs
Civilians make official screenshots look busy. In play they are extra mass for wide tools. The NPC guide covers spawn caps, the Unlimited NPCs pass (94 Robux), and why packing a street still loses to packing buildings. Pair it with how to destroy buildings and the city map.
Passes and cash runs
The five passes are documented on gamepasses and ranked on the gamepass tier list. How-tos for the toys: AC-130, ICBM. Cash runs is the practical route: fresh server, cluster, restock, leave. Shop order as a checklist: spend order.
If you came here looking for a “best character,” open Getting Started instead. If you came here looking for scripts that auto-farm other players’ cities, open Scripts and read the risk first.
A useful session on this hub is: check whether you are in a cratered public city, decide if NPCs are worth spawning, then pick one pass or none. The eight-player cap is the real PvP. Your avatar is not a class. Your loadout is cash plus whatever you refused to spend Robux on. After that, leave this hub and actually fire a strike — the airstrike planner will pick the tool if the skyline is still standing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for airstrikes, cash, codes, Update 1.5, and the Update 2 teaser.
Is there a character roster?
No. You play your Roblox avatar. Progression is cash and strikes, not heroes.
How many players per server?
Eight. Hop if the city is already gone.
Are NPCs other players?
No. NPCs are civilians you can spawn. Other players are the eight avatars in the server.
