Tornado and Earthquake in Blow Up The City
Wide 1.5 weather. Use them on a standing district, not on a crane you wanted to snipe.
Tornado and Earthquake are cash airstrikes from Update 1.5. They sit next to Nuke, Attack Heli, extra buildings, bridges, and the train in the official description. They are not gamepasses. They are not the weather events from a different Roblox disaster title. If a video shows a gear menu with “storm” tools in a toolbox, you are on the wrong wiki.
The airstrike tier list parks both in A for a standing district and in the skip pile for a single prop. This page is the difference between a messy payday and a loud nothing.
What they share
Airstrike Industries has not published radius, duration, or HP. Shared facts you can actually use:
- Both are wide. They exist for walk-up districts and packed streets, not for sniping the yellow crane.
- Both are cash. Unlimited Cash feeds them. X2 Cash doubles whatever still-standing mass pays.
- Both look better with civilians. Unlimited NPCs packs a private street so the weather has something to throw besides empty sidewalks. NPCs are still garnish — see the city map.
- Both are wasted on scorched craters. Update 1.5 made ash readable so you would stop recasting weather on glass.
If the shop is missing either name, rejoin. Early-testing servers cache rows. Do not paste a look-alike loader from Scripts.
Tornado — moving mess
Use Tornado when you want a path through a district that is still up. Think of it as weather with a silhouette: it should drift across several footprints, not sit on one hut.
Good Tornado:
- A block of walk-ups that still have interiors.
- A street you could also stitch with Attack Heli, but you want chaos instead of a gun line.
- A private city where you packed NPCs for a showcase.
Bad Tornado:
- The crane. You will miss the pad.
- The train in an empty cutting. Lead moving HP with a gun run.
- A 2×2 of glass towers you should have circled with Nuke.
Earthquake — stamp, not a sniper
Use Earthquake when a whole district of walk-ups is still standing and you want a wide stamp instead of a moving column. It is the “messy A-tier” answer to “I see a neighborhood, not a monument.”
Good Earthquake:
- Intact low-rise grid.
- A bridge whose banks are still built out (the stamp clips lots, not just the deck).
- After a cheap drop opened a hole and you want the rest of the block to finish paying.
Bad Earthquake:
- One remaining house.
- A skyline you already paid Nuke to delete.
- A public server at minute fifteen. The district is gone; the stamp will play on ash.
Tornado versus Earthquake versus Nuke
| Tool | Shape | Buy it for |
|---|---|---|
| Tornado | Moving wide | A path through walk-ups |
| Earthquake | Wide stamp | A neighborhood still standing |
| Nuke | Circle | 2×2 towers, bridge + both banks |
| Attack Heli | Line | Street, train, deck |
If you can only afford one weather tool, pick whichever is in the shop when you see a district. Do not camp the menu hoping the other name is “better.” They share a job. The spend order puts both after a repeatable bomb and before a spectacle nuke you cannot afford to miss.
Server and patch notes
Eight players will Nuke your weather target while you line up. Use a private server for showcases. Use a fresh public join for cash runs. Weather is not a reason to stay in a dead city.
Update 2 might retune these names. Until the 9 September 2026 description actually changes, treat Tornado and Earthquake as 1.5 A-tier wide tools. There are still no codes that grant them.
A clean weather session is three steps: confirm the district is standing, pick Tornado or Earthquake to match path versus stamp, bank cash, leave the glass. If you wanted a mushroom, that is Nuke. If you wanted 30mm, that is AC-130. If you wanted a multiplier, that is X2 Cash. Weather is the district button. Press it only when a district still exists.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for airstrikes, cash, codes, Update 1.5, and the Update 2 teaser.
Are Tornado and Earthquake gamepasses?
No. They are cash strikes from Update 1.5, listed next to Nuke and Attack Heli.
Should I buy Tornado or Earthquake first?
Whichever you can afford when a full district is still standing. They share a wide job with different silhouettes.
Do NPCs make weather pay more?
They make the street look busy. The payout is still buildings. Pack NPCs on a private showcase, not as a substitute for mass.
Can weather destroy the train?
Do not count on a slow stamp to lead a moving row. Use Attack Heli or AC-130 on the train.
Why did my Earthquake do nothing?
The district was already scorched or you stamped a single leftover hut. Read the craters and hop.
