How to Play Blow Up The City

Destroy, bank, restock. Everything else is a shop label on that loop.

How to Play

Playing Blow Up The City well is not about owning ICBM on day one. It is about picking targets that still have HP, spending cash on radius you will use twice, and leaving servers that are already ash. This page is the loop in order. Pair it with Getting Started if you have not spawned yet, and with Controls if you cannot find the launch panel.

The loop

  1. Spawn in a city that still has walls. Eight players share one map. If glass is already gone and the crane is a stick, hop.
  2. Choose a cluster. Two touching mid-rises, a crane plus its site, a bridge plus the buildings on either bank, or a train with a row of houses. See how to destroy buildings.
  3. Call a strike you can afford to fire again. A cheap drop that you can repeat beats a Nuke you fire once into a parking lot.
  4. Collect the cash. Update 1.5 increased cash per strike, so a good hit should move the shop. If it does not, you hit rubble.
  5. Buy the next strike or a multiplier, then go again. Stop when the map is a crater; start a new server instead of farming dust.

That is the whole game. Vehicles, weather, and orbital toys are skins on step 3.

Targeting beats button mashing

Official thumbnails show jets, a stealth bomber, fire, and collapsing floors. In play, the same idea holds: volume of intact structure pays. A single brick hut is a tutorial hit. A street of occupied walk-ups is a paycheck. NPCs make the street feel alive and are why Unlimited NPCs exists, but they are not a substitute for aiming at mass.

After Update 1.5, bridges and the train are extra clustered HP. A strike that clips a bridge deck and two banks is worth more than a strike that clips one billboard. Tornado and Earthquake are for wide, messy maps. Nuke is for a skyline you have not touched. Attack Heli is for players who want to steer the damage instead of watching a bomb fall — similar fantasy to the AC-130 pass.

Shopping without going broke

Open the shop with cash in hand, not after you already clicked the most expensive name. Use the airstrike tier list as a spend order:

  • Early: repeatable bombs and anything with a short restock.
  • Mid: Attack Heli, Earthquake, or Tornado once you can hit a whole district.
  • Late: Nuke, then pass toys (AC-130, ICBM) if you still care.

X2 Cash doubles the loop. Unlimited Cash deletes the loop. Both are valid; only one teaches you anything.

Playing with other people

This is online sandbox, not a campaign. Other players will steal your block, stack craters on your crater, or drop a Nuke while you are lining up a cheap hit. That is the eight-player design. If you want a clean skyline, the game page tells you to create a private server. If you want chaos, stay public and treat other players as extra explosions you did not pay for.

Do not expect a story, a win screen, or a badge list — the universe currently has no badges. The session ends when you are bored or the map is gone.

What “early testing” means in play

Physics can hitch. A train can clip. A strike can register late. Report that on the Roblox page instead of assuming you missed a secret bind. Watch Updates when Update 2 lands so you are not re-learning a patched shop.

If you came here from a script thumbnail, read Scripts last. The legal way to play faster is better targeting and, if you insist, X2 Cash — not a loadstring from a different city-destruction game.

When the loop is automatic, push into how to earn cash for payout math and into Players for NPC packing. Codes remain on the codes hub until the studio actually issues one.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for airstrikes, cash, codes, Update 1.5, and the Update 2 teaser.

How do I win Blow Up The City?

You do not. There is no campaign win. Flatten the map, buy better strikes, hop servers, repeat.

Why am I earning almost nothing?

You are hitting rubble or empty lots. Join a fresh server and aim at intact clusters.

Can I play with friends?

Yes. Servers hold eight players, and the game page advertises free private servers.

Do I need Robux to play?

No. Robux only buys optional passes such as X2 Cash, AC-130, and ICBM.
